About me

From an early age I have been very interested in everything that has to do with the universe.

My lectures were often about this at primary school.

Unfortunately, I didn't have anyone around me who shared the same passion for this.

I had a cheap telescope at home that was never really used properly. This is because I didn't know how this worked.

Now years later, 30+ years, I decided to buy a telescope again.

By visiting forums and looking up information I found out what I wanted to buy.
This was the Orion XT8G goto Dobsonian telescope.

After many tries, I managed to adjust the GoTo reasonably well.

That evening I saw Saturn for the first time.
I was completely sold. I immediately showed Saturn to my girlfriend, now my wife. She was also completely enthusiastic and couldn't believe what she saw.

I then bought a Zwo asi 130 mm via Marketplace.
With this camera I was able to take the first photos/vids. The result is shown down here.

Then I got really excited. I spent many evenings outside.

After a few years I decided that I wanted to observe as well as photograph.

Now I have a nice mount, telescope and camera.

Now we still have to learn how to deal with all this.

On the homepage you can see my first photo with this new setup. Messier 101.

Still very proud that I was able to achieve this.
